A Path to Follow

Parents leave prints on their children's lives...from years before conception to every second of the day.

Morning Shakers

Feeding herself yogurt for 2nd breakfast. (1st breakfast was Kix)

She threw her pacifier down the vent there...I can't even see it.

Capes again!

For school, we colored toilet paper rolls and filled them with rice/noodles. Shakers!

Jammies and Capes

These are Elijah's current favorite pajamas. He would wear them every night if we let him. Pre-bedtime hugs!

They both tried to fit on Eva's chair. It didn't work out well, but they thought it was funny.

Somersaults?

Flying around the living room...same thing in the video below.

Eva 15 Month

She's carrying 2 bags and drinking from the coffee pot before 7am. I think she'll be a good mommy. We had her 15 month checkup. Only one shot and she barely cried. Height is in the 20th percentile. Weight in the 5th percentile. Head circumference in the 65th percentile. All of those are on the same curve that she's been on, so the doctor was happy with the measurements. There was a med student in the room with the doctor, and Eva wiggled out of my arms to go hug this strangers legs, then ran back to me. Her doctor said that was very rare...especially for being 15 months old (the usual stranger anxiety crying appointment).

Elijah got a compliment from the doctor for being a good boy and sitting quietly just coloring during Eva's appointment. Complete opposite of our last visit! This is our school plan for today. We always do weather, Bible devotion, and calendar. This week is the letter "P" and learning how to read a clock.

Our coloring for school included 2 pages of following directions. Elijah's showing me the 5th dinosaur that needs to be colored green. We are also learning about first, second, third... He did good with 'first' but I don't think he had heard the other ones before.

Shaving Cream Painting

I put dots of food coloring on shaving cream in a tray and let Elijah paint.

He's been coughing a lot. Hopefully, he gets better soon.

Together

Red, black, and white for church.

Elijah put the letters in order!

Everyone reading on the couch.

Everyone resting on the couch.

She loves her morning Kix and milk.

Wake up and Curious George.

Someone knows how cute they are.

Table Fetch

I put the legs back on Eva's table. She's doing better with her climbing, but I think the batteries in this toy are dead now. Time to replace.

The kids always switch toys. Love the Dora chair and baby table that Elijah's using.

Look at her propping her little leg up.

Fetch!

Christmas and New Year's Day

Eva's Christmas dress.

Elijah's Christmas sweater.

Christmas is a funny time for kids to ignore the actual gifts and play with boxes, tissue paper, and bows. It's also a time for Mommies to forget to post on Facebook and their blogs. Please enjoy this extra long update that is not in order and is missing pictures that are just on my phone.

Cousin Ellis is a monkey. She can repeat back letters to spell her name.

Christmas only added to this little girl's climbing adventures.

The kids got capes from Grandma and Grandpa.

Elijah got a barn and lots of animals. Thanks to Grandpa for setting it up.

They also got a big train. Daddy played inside after setting it up.

Ellis enjoyed it too.

Eva and Ellis play with other people's gifts.

They hide in the train.

They have a little snack together.

We could not get a sitting still while looking at the camera and smiling picture (with the kids).

So, we used a snowman instead. Merry Christmas!

Cousins by the tree.

Ellis got a slide and everyone played with it.

We had another Christmas at Erik's mom's house.

Elijah loved controlling the train under the tree. Each train car have people moving around on it. He could make the train whistle, go faster, or blink the lights.

The cousins all watched the train.

Elijah got a turtle costume.

The kids opened all their presents.

After Christmas 2014, Erik started counting down for Christmas 2015.

We also had Christmas with the DeShon family. Grandpa was the gate/tunnel/bridge.

Then Elijah found out how difficult that job was.

Ellis loved GG's bracelet.

The kids passed out presents.

Eva crawled behind Uncle Mark.

Elijah went to hug Aunt Kass while Ellis opened another present.

Our Christmas at home was done early. We got stockings. Elijah's had army men!

The kids...by the tree...in their new pajamas...with their present piles.

This boy's a new member of the Royals Blue Crew.

Eva had a couple things in her stocking too. Now her stuffed animals hang in a ceiling hammock.

Loving his Blue Crew gear!

Daddy and Elijah got new hats.

This is Elijah's penguin cup.

Eva's cup is the same, only yellow with a rabbit inside.

The family.

Eva's testing out her new hippo bath mat.

Elijah's excited about his 'something to wear' pterodactyl wings.

Erik opened his Xbox One.

I got the mop I wanted...it's ok...it was on my list.

Daddy shows Elijah how to use his Lincoln Logs.

I made Elijah an "E" with Superman for his door.

Now, Elijah can shave just like Daddy.

Eva wears her new dress to church.

Mommy and Eva girl.
