Bug Party

We went to McKinley's 1st birthday party today. Our friends, Shane and Kassidi, have kids around our kids' ages; their middle child is 10 days older than Elijah and McKinley is exactly 4 months older than Eva. Ladybugs were the birthday theme and the kids enjoyed running around together...or sitting near Mommy. Our kids have opposite personalities, but they still had fun. Before bedtime Elijah told me, "He turned off the lights and was bad. Then you turned the lights on. Then we were in the tent and closed the door and it was fun!"

Elijah playing on the motorcycle.

McKinley and Eva sitting by each other wondering why the mommies with cameras keep yelling at them to look in their direction.

Elijah learning to wait for younger kids to be finished sliding before his turn.

Karly loving the baby and keeping all toys away from her.

Eva girl rocking out with the Hello Kitty keyboard.

Elijah quote from today:

Reading Highlights magazine, Elijah says, "There's a ducky in the tree. Silly, ducky! You don't live in a tree. Birdies live in the tree. You live in the bath. You live in the water, ducky."
