Climb and Crash

I'm not sure how well this shows Eva using her arms and abs, but she is almost climbing out of her chair here. Good thing I have her strapped in tight...well not really tight.

Here's Elijah playing with his fake wood and screws. He's pretending they are an airplane that keeps crashing into the floor or the wall or a chair. A quote I read this last week (but now I can't remember where...I think something on Pinterest) "Active toys make passive kids. Passive toys make active kids." Here's to building an imagination.

Stuff

Elijah makes sure Eva has plenty of toy options. She kept knocking all the toys off the chair, and Elijah kept fixing them.

Elijah made pictures. I cut out shapes and he glued them. Blue is Elijah's, black is for Daddy, and yellow is for Mommy.

Of course, this how Elijah plays with his stuffed animals. No wonder he piles up Eva's toys on her lap. "Mommy, take a picture!" he says.

This is what my life is really like. Elijah running around in a cape and Eva girl chewing on something while trying to roll out of her chair. How do I manage to get any chores done? Ha!

Snow Won't Stop Us

Elijah poses on the stairs for me before church. Since we have a Jeep with awesome tires, a snow day won't stop us from getting to Sunday services. I put one of his funny faces on Facebook, and the best smiling one is right here.

Eva girl wasn't smiling when I had the camera out. In fact, she even stopped her crazy wiggling when I had the camera pointed her way. She was rolling over every 10 seconds today...so much that I had to strap her in the chair or bouncer just so I could leave her for 5 minutes.

Zebra and Tigger

Eva likes to chew on her zebra hanging from the rocking chair.

Mornings are for milk in sippy cups and couch cuddles.

T-Rex Cafe

My new work schedule has made if difficult to get pictures and post them daily. Here's my catching up from yesterday. These are blurry because they're from my phone. Eva girl is playing in the rocking chair. She likes her chewy toys now. And she's rolling over frequently...at night...and waking herself up. Hopefully, she'll figure out how to flip back over or get used to it soon. I don't like getting out of bed every half hour to flip her back over.

I took Elijah out to the T-Rex Cafe at Legends (without Eva). We really liked the dinosaurs. At first he was a little cautious of all the noises, but he enjoyed watching the dinosaurs talk and move around. Our food came out late because our server didn't put our order in. And it tasted fine...not great or anything. Then we looked at their store and didn't buy anything because it was either expensive, a stuffed animal (which we have too many of), or for children over 5 years old. After that, we went shopping and I got a couple things for both kids for next winter. Nap time was messed up though, so I had one cranky boy for the rest of the night. Hopefully, he'll remember this day for a while.
